    Dean, I wonder why no one colonised Thailand, was it because it was too tough/worthless to conquer? Whats your opinion?

      Thanks for your good question Paddy and it’s difficult to say really because European powers have been present in the area a number of times..namely Burma, who had a go at Thailand themselves and Malaysia. I am no Thai history expert but from what I have learned some of the Kings of Thailand have been very skilled diplomats and chose to negotiate and trade with the Colonial powers rather than resist them so it looks like they kind of talked their way out of it!!
